AAU Referee Certification Class

Forty six referee's showed up early Saturday morning at Blade Runners Inline Complex for the 6 hour referee certification class. For many of the veteran officials this was a refresher course and an opportunity to get together and discuss issues or concerns from the past season.  AAU National Referee-In-Chief Paul Pelletier of Florida and East Zone  Referee-In-Chief Ken Knaus were on hand to to go over any local rule changes for the up coming season and to answer any questions on AAU/USARS national rules and polices as New PIRHL Commissioner Tom Ward and PIRHL referee scheduler Joe Voloch were on hand to discuss scheduling and dress code requirements for the referee's and scorekeepers.  There was also a scorekeepers meeting immediately following the referee meeting. PIRHL commissioner Tom Ward stated that this is great opportunity to get everyone on the same page and up to date on any and all rules changes for the coming season.

In the coming weeks the PIRHL will host a coaches certification class with National Coach-In-Chief Jeff Prime of California.  If you have any questions regarding the AAU / PIRHL referee or coaching programs please contact league commissioner Tom Ward at tmward3@yahoo.com .  The PIRHL board of directors is working hard to insure that the highest level of education is available to all PIRHL referee's and coaches.  Make a difference by becoming a volunteer!
